Fat People Have No Reason To Work Out
February 24th, 2010 -- Posted in Journal, Rants | No Comments »That isn’t me, that is society. That is the department stores and retailers saying this to a large population of unfit people.
Last night was the first time I was able to buy anything resembling work out gear that wasn’t in an overpriced specialty shop or custom made. Women get so frustrated trying to find something that fits comfortable and have to look outside the box, which usually means buying nothing or buying from the big and tall men’s shop.
Check Target and see the women’s work out clothes and work out bras. Oh work out bras are almost impossible to find at a large enough size. I wanted an arm band for my ipod, and I realized that someone who is in real need of this stuff, the heaviest of our society is out of luck. It is like once you reach a certain weight, what’s the point… I am still heavy, but now can wear sizes outside of the X label, but still the arm band for the ipod is too small to fit comfortable so it will go back tonight.
What society needs, what every mall needs is a store custom for overweight people. Not another clothing store that may have a sweat jacket that isn’t really made to sweat in, but a shop with only work out items for our obese people. Men, women and children. If you want them to make a change, give them the tools to do so. This includes work out dvds. Have gradual series. Have obese people make them in stages of their weight loss so that the person working out doesn’t have to look at what could be but what is happening in real stages and what could be in increments. Realistic goals and views so that they are less likely to give up.
Does someone want to fund a pretty cool project?
