Religion…
Nope, not going there. Not telling anyone what my day to day spiritual feelings are. They are mine. They are very precious to me and ever changing. The more I learn, the more it changes to be more loving, accepting, forgiving and at peace.
But I did post this on my facebook when asked. This is about as much as I will give.
At the end of our lives we reach this great hall. Think like a court house. There are a lot of lines. You get in your line, Christian, Jews, Muslim, Buddhist, Atheist, Agnostic, etc… There you meet your representative. For Christians that would be Jesus or maybe one of the Saints if you are Catholic… They represent you. They are your go between here on earth and in the after if that is something you believe in. You have chat, go over the things in you life and see if you were comfortable with staying true to what you the person believed. Check to see if you were accepting that there may be others that are being true to what they believe and make sure that everyone has done so coming from a place of peace and joy. They take that information, and go state your case and then from there who knows…
If you believe that we are just energy, then maybe your energy can combine with others who feel the same way and become something… different, again who knows.
For some people this is it. There is nothing afterward and I have found that most people who have felt that way, not saying they are right or wrong, generally are very loving peaceful people because they don’t think they get out of anything card because they can ask someone else for forgiveness. They have to look at themselves in the mirror every day and live with that person. There is no blame on anyone other than themselves and no giving thanks to anyone but themselves. It is get the job done and make the most of it.
Everyone is doing the best that they can and should be allowed to live their life. If you make a law based on a religious choice, it makes me uncomfortable. I am not the same religion as my neighbor and he shouldn’t dictate what my life should be. I think that you should follow your own path. If it brings you joy, skip, run, jump and dance down that path! Once you start chaining people behind you and dragging them into a life they are not choosing, I can’t see that path being one filled with joy.
I also said to a dear friend I don’t believe in hell so when I am told I will burn, I can’t be upset with the person who says it. It is not of my belief system and has no power over me. What do I believe happens to evil people? I don’t think it was a matter of being evil, but not having a “soul” or conscious to begin with. I don’t think anything happens to them.
Be good to each other. If you believe in God, just add another o. If you don’t still add the o and amazing that both can look at that new word and say it works.
